HIS DARK MATERIALS S3
In 2022 Kelly worked in Cardiff for Bad Wolf as their `Speciality Costume Maker'. Mainly focusing on the witches weapons and scaly jackets, particularly Serafina's bolero and wrist weapons. She also created 13 white leather guard jackets and many boot covers for the angels.
THE WITCHES
Each scale was individually added to create Serafina's scaly bolero. Each scale goes through nine different stages before it is ready to be attached to the costume. Once all the scales are added the costume is broken down and aged to fit the narrative of the story. Original Serafina costume and weapons made by Imogen House. Costume design by Caroline McCall.
GUARDS
There was a total of 13 leather padded guard doublets to make, all different sizes and each requiring perfectly straight top stitching front and back.
